We currently have an excellent opportunity for Maintenance Technician/ Electrician with long established multinational client based in Shannon, Co. Clare.  Person will report to Head of Maintenance and will be offered as a full time permanent role.

 

Overall Responsibilities:
Perform the day to day demand and preventative maintenance and problem solving of Manufacturing Equipment in order to achieve product quality and production schedule goals.
Provide technical support to enhancement of processes and equipment utilised in the manufacturing areas by installing, repairing, maintaining or modifying production and facilities related equipment.  This will be achieved by utilising technical expertise, technical manuals, engineering drawings, precision tools and test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Production equipment uptime (Equipment Repair and maintenance) 
Equipment installation. 
Equipment safety adherence & Safety improvements 
Total Facility Maintenance 
Facility improvements and sub contractor oversight 
Preventive Maintenance 
Spares sourcing and ordering 
Assist in energy use reduction projects 
Maintain 6S Standards in the workplace.
Performs other duties as necessary. 

Person Specification:

Trade Qualification or Maintenance Technician 
Minimum of three years relevant work experience in a high volume manufacturing plant.
Problem solving and troubleshooting in hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic and electrical areas. 
PLC and CNC knowledge would be an advantage.
Strong practical skills required 
Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel and Outlook.
Logical approach to problem solving. 
Ability to work in a demanding environment. 
Good interpersonal skills required. Team player, with ability to work in cross-functional teams. 
Ability to multi-task, working to deadlines. 
Must possess a mechanical aptitude and be flexible in a multi skilled workplace.
Must be flexible to work on shift working patterns.
Must be available to attend call outs as required
