Role:

To provide leadership to the Advanced Technology Centre with responsibility for the development and delivery of controls, robotics and next generation manufacturing technologies for cross segment supply chains within the Johnson and Johnson organization. This role will engage with key stakeholders and 3rd party partners as part of the innovation and ideation process to bring high level value propositions to the J&J supply chain.

The ideal candidate will have extensive manufacturing automation experience across multiple industries and manufacturing processes including Medical device and or Pharma. They will have displayed progressive increasing levels of responsibility and leadership across 20 plus years with minimum 5 years’ operating at Director level or equivalent.

A key requirement of this role is to lead and define the controls systems roadmap for 1,2 and 5 years that align with the needs and requirements of the Johnson and Johnson manufacturing supply chain. This will require extensive experience and knowledge in control systems architecture design across multiple 3rd party supplier platforms.

 

Responsibilities:

Bring leadership, energy, knowledge, innovation, and delivery to the following 

  • Work collaboratively in the development & Communication of strategy for robotics, controls and next generation manufacturing across all segment supply chains in the Johnson and Johnson organization. Aligning strategic technology development with Johnson and Johnson 1,2 and 5-year business plans.
  • Project management, including obtaining agreement on project definitions and priorities and ensuring that resources, capabilities, and processes are in place for successful completion.
  • Ensure that programs stay on plan by resolving resource conflicts and removing obstacles, which may involve negotiations at a senior level.
  • Ensure that all project plans and strategies are supported with sound financial analysis and alignment to ATC business plans and objectives.
  • Support the development and management of the ATC operations budget and capital plan in cooperation with key stakeholders.
  • Manage key automation partners for the development of flexible automated manufacturing systems.
  • Establish effective working relationships and develop new partnerships to optimize product development with partners across the J&J organization.
