Electronics/Quality Engineer – Advanced Quality Product Planning

Our client has an immediate requirement for a quality engineer who be part of the continuous improvement team and who will provide quality support to all areas of new product & process introduction

Main responsibilities and duties:

Active participation in new product trials and releases

Active participation in new equipment trials and releases

Development of manufacturing standards for new products / processes / equipment

Active involvement in new product introduction activities

e.g.      FMEA Failure mode effect analysis

           APQP  Advanced product quality planning

           PPAP  Production parts approval process

Problem analysis and improvement activities

Preparation and release of new product documentation

Capability planning and analysis

Produce manufacturability reports to design group (major team member)

Assist in transfer of new products to production

Stress risk analysis / strain gauge application and result assessment

Preparation and presentation of information to customers

Induction and training of new personnel as required

Health and Safety for self and others

Qualifications: Degree in Electronic or Production Engineering or Equivalent (Level 8 on NFQ)

Experience: 2 + years in electronics/quality engineering role, preferably in a high volume manufacturing environment.

Skills:  Involvement in product / process improvement activities, problem analysis, new product / equipment introduction, preferably from a quality / reliability perspective. Strong mechanical aptitude with good problem solving skills. Computer literate (MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).  Strong leadership skills with good organisational, communication skills and attention to detail. German language and working knowledge of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) a distinct advantage.
