Overview:

eFlexes Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer on behalf of a leading manufacturing client in Limerick. This is a permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

The successful candidate will support new product introduction and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. This role plays a key part in improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall production performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools (e.g. SMED, OEE, 5S)
  • Optimise equipment performance, improve yield, and reduce waste
  • Support the introduction of new products into production, meeting efficiency and quality targets
  • Provide technical support on process capability, equipment, and quality issues
  • Lead problem-solving activities and implement effective solutions
  • Conduct experiments, analyse data, and make recommendations based on findings
  • Support validation activities for new and existing processes
  • Coordinate technology transfer and support capacity expansion projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver key operational KPIs

Requirements:

  • Degree (Level 8) in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (medical device or cGMP experience an advantage)
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g. Minitab desirable)
  • Familiarity with semi-automated production environments
  • Experience with adhesives or coating processes is beneficial
  • Proficient in MS Office and engineering software (e.g. SolidWorks/AutoCAD)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work different shifts if required
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%)

Working Environment:

  • Role involves working in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery and chemicals
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required
  • Some physical activity may be involved, including standing, bending, and reaching
