We have an excellent new exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Leader to join our long-established multinational client in Aviation sector.
As Product Leader you will manage the day-to-day production and facility operations, to ensure the delivery of the product in line with agreed Key Performance Indices.

As Product leader you will also be involved in the delivery of projects within the Engineering Department. These Projects will involve the development and introduction of new products or repairs, or technology introduction.

This is a permanent position, reporting to the NPI Project Leader, and offers a very competitive salary and benefit package and excellent career prospects.

Responsibilities will include:

• Provide leadership and support for the effective day to day management of the production teams
• Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives
• Develop, manage and support the production teams to ensure sufficient skilled labour is in place to meet production requirements
• Ensure the delivery of all required performance indices
• Lead the further development of visual production systems within the Production environment
• Ensure delivery of 6S, TPM, and associated Lean targets
• Work with Engineering & Quality on the identification and implementation of improvement programs
• Adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures – including health & safety requirements
• Support Product Engineer and provide temporary engineering cover as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A relevant third level qualification, an Engineering Degree would be preferable
• Strong Planning ability and a major contributor to projects and programs
• Proven ability to drive and sustain continuous improvement using technology, leadership and motivational skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities in a complex and changing technical environment
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a production lead role
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Availability to provide technical support outside normal working hours
