A Safety Engineer is required by our Client, a distinguished supplier of pioneering automation solutions, for their state of the art facility in Shannon, Co. Clare.

This role provides a rare opportunity to become part of a dynamic,and fast paced, high technology Automation company.  Working with customers in regulated industries, this highly technical role interacts cross functionally and, as such, requires both subject matter expertise and highly proficient interpersonal and communication skills, a seasoned, experienced professional, with a complete understanding and wide application of principle, theories, and concepts in the field.  The Safety Engineer will have the ability to apply a full understanding of area specialisation and creativity to resolve a wide range of issues.

Essential requirements for this highly technical role include:

  • Over five years experience in a similar role
  • A Level 8 in a related technical discipline
  • Experience in CE self-certification of custom designed equipment
  • Knowledge and experience using related EU Directives, e.g.: Machinery Directive, Low Voltage Directive, etc.

Desirable requirements include:

  • Machinery Safety or EHS qualification is an advantage
  • Experience in the medical device or other related industry
  • Experience in equipment design and build
  • LOPA, HAZID & HAZOP analysis experience
  • Experience working with UL standards
  • Experience working in an Environmental, Health and Safety role.
  • Strong business process and systems knowledge and experience.
