Your role will be to drive the entire manufacturing engineering process, from capital projects to process development, demonstrating exceptional technical expertise. Spearhead the establishment of best practices in production engineering, guiding the vision, strategy, policies, and procedures for enhanced operational excellence.
 
Lead and mentor a team of adept production operatives, leveraging strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Champion continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement and proposing adjustments in training, workflows, and processes. Collaborate closely with the Management team to foster innovation, actively contributing to refining operations and ensuring seamless implementation of improvements.
 
Responsibilities of the job include:
  • Capacity planning and optimization
  • Planning and organising production schedules.
  • Assessing project and resource requirements
  • Devising machining strategies to improve cycle times.
  • Estimating, negotiating, and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers
  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met.
  • Determining quality control standards
  • Overseeing production processes
  • Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
  • Supervising the work of staff
  • Organising relevant training sessions.
 
Candidates should have:
  • Min Level 8 degree in Engineering or continuous growth within a precision engineering company.
  • 2 or more years in managerial or supervisory role.
  • Fluent English, with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
