Occupational Therapist - Home Visits (Part-Time in Mid West Area)
We are now recruiting for a Part-Time Occupational Therapist based Mid-West area (Galway, Clare & Limerick).
The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities :
- Assess the client's ability to safely carry out functional activities in their home while understanding their clinical history and status
- Advanced knowledge and adherence to relevant regulations related to the area of home adaptations and mobility aids
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders during the assessment and recommendations process e.g. GP, Contractor, family and other relevant agencies/personnel
- Generate detailed recommendations regarding modifications and adaptations required in the client's home to enable them to maintain their independence in a safe environment
- Complete post-alteration and modification assessments in the client's home to ensure compliance to initial recommendations in line with the relevant regulations

- Problem –solving approach
Prerequisites:
- Experience in providing OT support in the area of home adaptations and mobility aids
- OT Degree qualified
- Full Membership of the AOTI
- 3 years experience working as an OT in the public or private sector
- Will need own transport as this is a community based role
