Chartered Physiotherapist (Contract Part-time) required for a multi-disciplined role working in the Galway/Mayo area
Our client is seeking to hire a Chartered Physiotherapist (ISCP membership essential). The role involves predominantly working with the geriatric population and mental health service clients in the Galway/Mayo region.
Overview of Role:
- Providing ongoing one to one physiotherapy sessions to residents and clients based on completion of initial baseline assessments
- Setting outcome measures using research based functional and fitness assessments
- Design and Development of focused individual care plans and group exercise sessions to maintain and improve quality of life for the residents and clients
- Maintaining and updating individual resident/client records
- Working hand in hand with the home medical team to integrate physiotherapy as an integral part of the care plans
- Clients would include predominantly (but not exclusively) physical and mental pathologies, (stroke, - Alzheimer's and related dementias) right through to able bodied and active ageing adults
Candidate Requirements:
- Third Level Degree in Physiotherapy qualification
- Current member of ISCP is a must
- Experience either working with geriatric or mental health clients would be greatly beneficial
- Strong communications skills both verbal and written
Will require own transport
