Night Shift Supervisor

 

 

The position is that of a Night Shift Supervisor looking after and taking responsibility for all Engineering/Manufacturing issues in the section. The leader will work with engineering to ensure that the section produces good quality product and maintains sustainable processes. The section Night Shift Supervisor is responsible for production feedback to planning and production and engineering manager in terms of cycle times and manufacturing methods. The Night Shift Supervisor support training requirements in line with training plans and looks after housekeeping, control of fixtures, tooling and equipment along with Managing QHSE in the section. Support LEAN and WCM activities.

 

Reporting to the Production Manager

 

Maintenance, Production Managers/ leaders, Engineering, Planning Quality Control

 

  1. Ensure that the shift achieves set standards and special instructions as communicated.
  2. Ensure that set-ups are good and to standard times
  3. Ensure work instructions are developed and maintained.
  4. Ensure cycle times are met and responsible for working with engineering to resolve any gaps.
  5. Ensure all employees complete operations in ERP M1 system
  6. Continually drive for process improvement working with Engineering and Production teams
  7. Support NPI Procedure.
  8. Maintain high standard of housekeeping and be proactive on QHSE issues.
  9. Sign off on all products leaving the section – to signify that the product is correct and to a satisfactory standard of workmanship. (Take Guidance from Engineering where needed)
  10. Adhere to GMP standards and continually ensure that SOPs are followed and trained.
  11. Execute training program as agreed with Production Manager.
  12. Manage tooling, fixtures and equipment to maintain high standards.
  13. Liaise with Production Manager to ensure appropriate shift patterns and cover is in place to suit the type of work going through at any given time.
  14. Highlight performance and training issues as appropriate to maximise the performance of all staff
  15. Work within all aspects of Health and Safety programme and always adhere to company safety policies including PPE use.
  16. Ensure company policy for Cell phones are observed and adhered to.
  17. Experience on CNC machines required.
