As Logistics/Supply Chain Planner you will be responsible for managing the partnership with our 4PL logistics partner as well managing the day to day running of the Distribution Centre. Continuous improvement of processes with a strong emphasis on cost reduction opportunities as well as efficiency improvements.
Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibility is to ensure a high service level from our logistics providers
  • Drive process improvements between the Distribution Centre and Production teams
  • Manage cycle counting processes
  • Continuously review transport costs
  • Ensure continuity of supply through internal business unit and to end customers
  • Daily interaction with internal and external suppliers
  • Responsible for providing ship dates for sales orders based on capacity and materials availability (98%+ service target)
  • Daily interaction with production and customer service representatives
  • Supply chain representative at daily business unit production meetings
  • Strive for continuous improvement in own role and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the wider supply chain area and company as a whole.
 
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Diploma / Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain Management or related field is desirable
  • Ideally 2 years’ experience in previous Logistics role
  • Familiar with supply chain management and transportation concepts like forecasting, planning, network optimisation and delivery performance
  • Supply chain planning systems (MRP/MPS/ERP) experience is desirable
  • Good knowledge of lean supply chain management principles, theories and practices
  • Excellent PC skills, particularly Microsoft excel
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills are essential
  • Proven track record of customer focus, both internal and external.
