Job Title: HGV Driver (Artic & Rigid)
Locations: Smithstown Industrial Estate, Shannon, Co. Clare / Foynes Port, Co. Limerick
We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Drivers (Artic & Rigid) on behalf of our client. This role involves delivering goods in a safe, efficient, and professional manner, ensuring full compliance with road safety legislation and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Drive vehicles in a safe and courteous manner, complying with road legislation and company policies.
Report any vehicle defects promptly.
Load and unload vehicles safely in line with legal standards, checking deliveries against dockets.
Deliver/pump-over products to customer sites safely and efficiently.
Follow correct procedures in the event of product spillage.
Ensure all delivery dockets are completed, signed, and submitted daily.
Carry out daily vehicle checklists and maintain accurate records.
Complete written incident reports as required.
Undertake additional duties as directed.
Candidate Requirements
Skills & Experience:
Experience transporting ADR classified loads (ideally Class 8 Chemicals).
Previous multi-drop delivery experience across Ireland.
Forklift operation experience (advantageous).
Route planning experience (advantageous).
Familiarity with pumps, valves, compressors, and batch controllers for liquid transfer.
Practical experience in manual handling and PPE use.
Must have the right to work in the EU.
Training & Certifications:
Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification (desirable).
Full, clean HGV licence with valid ADR and CPC certification.
Experience within the chemical or hazardous goods sector is an advantage.
