We have an excellent new opportunity for Maintenance Technician with Shannon, Co. Clare based multinational client. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, be offered on initial 12-month contract with significant opportunity for the longer term for the right candidate. This would be an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified Fitter with 1 to 2 years PQE to make a longer-term career in manufacturing environment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on all equipment and maintain documentation records.
- Ensure inventory of critical spares is maintained at all times.
- Proactively identify and resolve equipment issues to ensure appropriate yields and throughput is achieved.
- Ensure inventory of critical spares in maintained at all times
- Perform mechanical repairs on automatic testers and handlers.
- Maintenance and up keep of plant and equipment, including ventilation, air handling units etc.
- Contribute to the smooth running of production equipment at all times and liaise with production personnel with respect to their requirements.
- Assist with selection, installation and commissioning of new plant and facilities equipment
- Ensure compliance to all aspects of the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
- Perform all duties in accordance with current health &safety regulations.
- Assist with external service providers in the execution of the preventative maintenance program and reactive work requests, including task assignment.
- Compliance with Quality Management Systems, IATF Automotive Standard etc.
- Work with team to support and deliver Capex & Continuous Improvement Projects.
Skills:
- Qualified Fitter with 1 to 2 years post qualification experience
- Ideally have experience working in similar role in manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively as part of team.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft suite of products.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent English.
