We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant – with long established multinational client based in Shannon. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an exciting organisation and offers significant opportunity for career development for the right candidates. The position will be offered on initial 12 month contract with significant opportunity to extend.
Function of Position: This role is responsible for supporting a broad range of duties within the finance team, including Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, Treasury posting etc., working within tight reporting deadlines.
o Management of Accounts Receivable process, both third party and intercompany
o Bank Reconciliation for a number of entities
o Collection of past due/outstanding payments
o Complete reconciliations monthly
o Bank reconciliation
o Treasury posting.
o Customer Accounts reconciliation
o Preparation of Month end reports
o Reporting & Analysis
o Working with and supporting Financial Auditors
o Accounting Technician or similar qualification with 2 years + experience ideally in a similar type role in a multinational working environment.
o Previous experience with AP essential.
o Excellent communications and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
o Strong interpersonal skills with experience of dealing with both customers and suppliers
o Strong numerical skills and detailed working knowledge of Microsoft products, particularly Excel.
o Self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task, work independently and effectively organise and prioritise workload
o Ability to work to tight deadlines.
o Knowledgeable on reporting systems and financial processes with a focus on attention to detail.
o Previous experience working with multicurrency desirable.
o Previous experience working with JDE would be an advantage.
