eFlexes are currently seeking a Financial Controller for a well-established Shannon based Client.  Combining award winning technology with high performance operational capabilities, our Client delivers compelling outsourced supply chain service value, scale and reach throughout Europe, Asia and the USA.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO as part of a dynamic, action oriented senior management team, the Financial Controller will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the financial department as itemised under the key responsibilities below.  In addition, the Financial Controller will support the company’s strategic development plan, with comprehensive analysis of existing as well as new business initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop financial function control practices and procedures, talent and systems in line with recognised best practices.
  • Ensure consistent and reliable performance of all financial functions including budgeting, cash flow and payroll, treasury, banking and taxation etc.
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly and annual management accounts.
  • Present financial results to the senior management team with accompanying insights and recommendations for action.
  • Participate in daily/weekly/monthly management, project or program discussions, providing financial analysis and other relevant decision support information.
  • Manage all regulatory reporting, statutory accounts, working closely with companies audit and tax partners.
  • Demonstrate and maintain high ethical and personal performance standards within the financial department and the wider business.

Qualifications & Experience

  • ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent
  • Five years’ post qualified experience (supply chain/logistics experience would be an advantage)
  • Must be computer literate and competent in the use of MS Office suite and particularly Excel. Power BI and Sage would be an advantage.
  • Must be comfortable building financial models and analysing industry sectors and companies of interest.
  • Must be able to communicate at all levels of the business in the English language.
  • Supply Chain / Logistics experience is an advantage but we are open to all interested candidates.
