Our Shannon based multinational client provides outsourced financial services to the aviation industry, principally through aircraft securitization deals and similar transactions. As a premier provider in outsourced accounting and investor services to companies managing investment programs, clients benefit from solid expertise in integrated back-office operations backed by high quality technology, including accounting, administrative, cash management, budgeting and company secretarial services.

Due to their increasing success, our client is now seeking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant, who will report to the Director of Irish Operations.

Responsibilities associated with this role include: 

Preparation of accounting information for a number of securitization companies

Preparation of monthly cash reports

Preparation of budgets / forecasts

Calculation of monthly payments

Preparation of quarterly accounting information

Preparation of quarterly board papers to tight deadlines and attendance at board meetings

Approval of payments to third parties

Monitoring compliance with corporate formalities and operative agreements

Dealing with various external parties

Preparation / filing VAT and statutory returns

Preparation and filing of annual accounts and submissions

Drafting Board minutes

Special projects as required 

Candidate Competency Profile

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with relevant experience and be a self-starting team-player who is flexible and has the drive to meet the challenges of a fast moving business.

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills are an essential part of the job

Qualified ACA/ACCA - from recently qualified up to 2 years PQE

Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility for all client deliverables

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills are essential

Aircraft leasing experience an advantage

Understanding of consolidation accounting principles

Ability to work within tight operating deadlines

Highly motivated and able to work under own initiative

Ambitious, proactive and a team player

Proficient with Excel and related reporting tools
