Job overview

 

  • To support the Financial Department in the job of keeping the organisational accounts to the highest professional standard, as well as to support any member of the organisation and/or partners with their financial needs.
  • Supporting the department with all group reporting, statutory accounts and taxation requirements.
  • Supports the department through the collection, processing, recording, reconciliation and reporting of financial data, verifying the validity, completeness and accuracy of source documentation.  
  • Maintains complete and proper records of revenue, expenditure, assets and liabilities, and ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information.

 

Duties and tasks

 

  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, which includes depreciation, additions, disposals, reconciliations, impairment review, review of repairs for capital items and monthly reconciliation
  • Quarterly VAT return preparation & submission for the E6 Group
  • Month-end activities including Group reporting, journals, invoicing, balance-sheet reconciliations and running month end reports
  • Complete weekly bank reconciliations and provide weekly cash flow forecasts for UK companies
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual National statistics submissions
  • Support in assembling data for quarterly and annual Tax filings and interim and final statutory audits
  • Agreeing monthly intercompany balances
  • Maintaining UK Finance user facing documentation e.g. Expense forms and Delegation Of Authority
  • Processing journals as required
  • Adhoc projects and reports as needed.
  • Other tasks as required by Finance Manager

 

Criteria skills

  • Minimum of 2 years working experience within a Finance Department
  • Good understanding of month end and year end procedures
  • Excellent communicator
  • Team player
  • Proven ability of working under pressure / to tight deadlines
  • Good attention to detail and being proactive in suggesting system and process improvements  
  • Strong IT skills, especially Excel.
