The position of Finance Assistant is an exciting opportunity to join a well renowned organisation based in Ennis, Co. Clare.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Finance team and Line Managers to provide finance support services for the Organisation.
This is a permanent position and provides great potential for career development with an employer of choice within the region.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Daily and Monthly Reconciliations and Revenue Management
  • Daily reconciliation, receipting and preparation of lodgements
  • Administration of procurement, purchase orders, goods received notes / delivery dockets and invoices.
  • Processing of requisitions on job codes, cost centres and income codes; Invoicing of trade customers; liaising with debtors; Invoicing of tenants for rents and service charges. 
  • Compliance with all procedures and internal controls across all duties.
  • Handling accounts queries from Debtors and Creditors.
  • Assist with processing of Company Payroll Data. 
  • Training of staff in financial process and procedures.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports/data reports as requested.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver and manage specific projects that may be assigned from time to time.
  • Participate / Represent the organisation at official engagements and events as required.
 
Requirements/Essential Skills and Attributes:
  • Qualification in Finance, Business, or related discipline. 
  • And/Or, a minimum of 5 years satisfactory experience in an account’s assistant role with demonstrable experience.
  • High level of numeracy, and a strong problem-solving approach to issues.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience of internal controls and procedures in a medium to large business dealing with large volume of transactions. 
  • PC literate in all Microsoft office systems, including Excel. 
  • Results driven, ability to deliver on specific objectives and targets. 
  • Self-confident, dependable and ability to work on own initiative, under pressure, unsupervised and as part of a team. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills. 
  • Fluency in the English language.
