Due to continued growth, our Clare based Client requires a Finance Assistant to join an innovative and creative team.
As Finance Assistant you will play a pivotal role in planning, budgeting and reporting on a key project aligned with overall business objectives. The role is also responsible for specific project tasks associated with our major client.
 
Reporting to the company Financial Controller you will be responsible for overseeing budgeting of project implementation plans, preparing  reports for the main DTD program as well as any ad-hoc projects as and when they arise.
 
Responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating closely with the Project Management Team to create comprehensive project budget plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and executing detailed project budget plans, establishing clear reporting milestones.
  • Assist with the implementation of overall Project Governance from a financial perspective.
  • Ensure overall project governance, providing regular, comprehensive reporting on project progress, milestones, budgets, risks, and resource utilisation.
  • Support the production of monthly materials for monthly billing across the main DTD project as well as other ad hoc project
  • Reviewing monthly timesheets for all employees working on the project for approval by FC and CEO
  • Cross referencing actuals against budgeted costs for all cost lines.
  • Preparation of the monthly billing schedule for review and sign off by FC and CEO.
  • Act as a liaison between Finance Team and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with programme goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders both internal and external, understanding their needs and proposing viable solutions.
  • Develop and execute a communication plan for finance-related information, determining issuance timing, responsible parties, and delivery channels.
  • Attend internal Project Management meetings and report to FC on import matters.
  • Regular catch ups with FC regarding ongoing projects and requirements.
  • Develop, refine, and maintain finance related project management processes for the programme, including but not limited to monthly work orders reports, External Experts and change requests.
  • Manage and document internal finance related project calls and ensure timely billing on designated projects.
  • Ensuring all administrative finance requirements across the project are completed in a timely manner.
  • Managing the sign-off summary reports for external resources (e.g. Technical Diagnostic Experts).
  • Liaising with project managers to ensure billing is up to date on external resources (e.g. Technical Diagnostic Experts).
 
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • 3-5 years proven experience as a Finance Administrator or similar role in a client facing capacity with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong team player.
  • Knowledge of, or experience in, a Digital Marketing environment.
  • Budget and Time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organisational, multitasking skills, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proven success working with all levels of management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships.
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control.
