We are currently seeking a Financial Accountant for a 13-month contract, with a Shannon based client, a well-established organisation within the aviation sector.
The Financial Accountant – Operations & Working Capital Management will be role responsible for providing financial assistance to the Operations Management Team, along with responsibility for the working capital management (i.e., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable etc.) across our European entities.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Monthly revenue analysis for all European entities including accruals, deferrals, and cost of sales analysis. Posting of all relevant journal entries.
  • Oversight of the Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable processes for all European entities.
  • Responsibility for group liquidity & cashflow management – monthly preparation of rolling cashflow forecast.
  • Responsibility for continuous review and improvement of the controls environment on our end-to-end working capital related processes (Payables, Receivables, Liquidity, etc.), ensuring effective & robust policies, procedures & controls are in place
  • Assisting team with month end and consolidation of financial statements
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations & review to strict deadlines and procedures
  • Assist in preparation 12 month rolling monthly forecasts
  • Assist in budget preparation
  • Compliance with Corporate Accounting Policies & Procedures & IFRS
  • Assisting team with cost control reporting, analysis & review
  • Assist with Cost and Scenario modelling, review and analysis
  • Assist with annual audit
  • Various Ad Hoc projects & reports
Requirements:
  • Professional Accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA etc.) with +3 years industry experience.
  • Knowledge of working capital management processes & best practices
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen, specifically be able to articulate how operational activities impact accounting entries and ultimately financial results
  • Detailed knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Office package and advanced MS Excel capability
  • Capable of working on own initiative & ability to work well within team environment & lead teams.
