Our Shannon based Client, a global leader in their industry, have a new position available for a Global Supply Chain Finance Manager.
The Finance leader for the organisations Global supply chain will be responsible for supply chain planning, budgeting, forecasting, and participation in cross-functional teamwork. The role will partner closely with the Global Supply Chain leader and Manufacturing Site Leaders and will communicate/drive solutions cross functionally. A key focus of the role will be to drive optimal supply chain performance: cost, fulfilment, quality, cash and profitability.  The role will prepare monthly financial reports and related analyses as well as maintain financial models.
 
As a Global Supply Chain Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Taking financial ownership of variable costs reporting and forecasting: partnering with Site Finance, Global Supply Chain operations, FP&A and Commercial teams
  • Being responsible to advise management in the function and/or in the business in key decision making.
  • Handling communication with colleagues and business leaders about change of policy and implementation. Ability to communicate complex messages to others.
  • Managing the supply chain base cost forecasting process and timelines with all key stakeholders.
  • Completing analysis and presentation decks for both period results and forecasts, clearly identifying main variances, key risks and opportunities.
  • Driving forecast accuracy through leadership of the forecasting process. Partner with key stakeholders, Manufacturing Site teams, Operations, Commercial, to identify process improvement and to drive better quality information.
  • Being a key member of the Finance team, driving forecasting and reporting improvements value added analysis and other ad hoc financial analysis relating to Variable Costs and Supply Chain Base Cost activities
 
To be successful in this role you will:
 
  • Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Be able to show good experience in Supply Chain Management would be beneficial to your application
  • Possess the ability to link accounting concepts to underlying financial data systems in order to understand, analyse and interpret both actual results and forecast data
  • Have the determination and drive to deliver insightful financial analysis to support the Finance Manager to navigate the P&L deliverables.
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously driving own agenda balanced with capacity to recognise when support required
  • Demonstrate good communication skills to provide clearly articulated messages across wide spectrum of stakeholders.
