Due to our client’s continued business expansion, we are currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a multinational client based in Shannon, Co. Clare.  
Reporting to the CFO, the Group Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the Finance and Accounting functions across all group locations.

The role will cover:
  • Represent the Finance department at weekly management meetings.
  • Manage the working capital and overseeing the Treasury function, driving the annual budgeting process.
  • Responsibility for the month end financial close process for all group entities, including ensuring all month end related entries are documented correctly, balance sheets are reviewed and the results signed off.
  • Manage the AP & AR Teams, ensuring performance planning, coaching and mentoring, along with performance reviews are supported.
  • Liaising with the business unit managers to update the rolling forecasts, identify operational improvement and oversee the completion of the annual audit.
  • Act as key stakeholder in reviewing and integrating strategic acquisitions.
  • FP&A for products and customers including profitability analysis and KPI reporting
  • Financial & Internal Controls review and management, ensuring effective & robust policies, procedures & controls are in place
  • Ad hoc project engagement
Candidates will require:
  • Professional Accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA etc.) with +5 years experience in a manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; (verbal, written and presentations).
  • Must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and understand key variables to minimize risk.
  • Proven aptitude for process improvement and process re-engineering.
  • Self-starter with a high level of diligence and the ability to work on own initiative and in conjunction with other key process leaders.
  • Goal oriented and results driven with a strong desire to see tasks through to completion.
  • Realistic and pragmatic approach to objectives.
  • Demonstrated capability to solicit, influence and secure cross-functional and cross-regional senior management support.
  • Ability to interact comfortably and effectively at all levels within the organization including Operations & Finance Executive Management Team
