A rare opportunity for a permanent, part-time, Payroll/Accounts Payable Assistant to join a global leading company based in Shannon, Co. Clare.
 
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, the Payroll/AP Assistant will be responsible for key administration tasks within the Finance Team.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Processing weekly Payroll in a timely & efficient manner
  • Liaising with HR to ensure all employees are receiving the correct allowances
  • Dealing with all queries that arise in relation to weekly payroll
  • Keep up to date on all payroll criteria, both internal and external, attending courses on Payroll and updating the Finance Team on the latest developments
  • Invoice reconciliation
  • Dealing with general queries, and liaising with Purchasing re price and quantity queries on invoices
  • Adhere to all internal control procedures
  • Oversee Travel Expenses and payments
  • Process and auditing weekly stock cycle count
 
Requirements for the position:
 
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • An Accountancy qualification would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication, organisational and administrative, skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Knowledge of Payroll
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines while producing work of a high standard
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
  • Ability to prioritize workload
