We are currently recruiting for an exciting new opportunity for Customs Specialist
with long established multinational client based in Shannon, Co. Clare. This newly created
position which will be offered as full time permanent role and will provide excellent opportunity for career development for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Assures compliance legal requirements concerning customs / international trade relevant for logistics and material processes
• Identifies and assures applications for relevant customs authorizations and simplifications
• Plans, organizes and implements customs related activities
• Defines customs relevant processes and supervises them
• Defines requirements for IT systems and documentation
• Leading of customs projects or participating in customer or IT projects
• Interface to customs office and/or broker; selects service provider for customs issues, coordinates and supervises established service provider
• Coordinates and accompanies customs audits, performs internal audits and compliance checks
• Communicates and coordinates all customs processes with customers
• Focal point of contact for all customs issues and escalations
• Keeps up to date with procedures and process developments,
• Organizes communication and coordination on customs topics with all affected departments
• Reports to the customs and management
• Establishes good relationship with internal process interfaces and customs offices
• Be available to travel on Company Business as required
• Any other duties as assigned by Team Leader on-site Logistics

Experience/Qualification Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in the area of logistics and customs;
• Continuous qualification in customs legislation by professional training providers recognized by customs authorities;
• High degree of flexibility and ability to work in teams and in a start-up environment
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Expert MS Office skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to understand and manage complexity
• Good sense of responsibility and initiative, experiences in project management welcomed
• Willingness to participate in job related trainings
