We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist for an exciting new role in the logistics industry. Position will be based in Shannon, Co. Clare with our client, a long-established Global Freight & Logistics Company providing multi-modal global third-party logistics services.

Candidate will require 3 + years in Transport Industry (Air, Road, Sea) in an import and export capacity.
The position involves organising customer shipments by Air, Road, Sea out of Ireland to destinations Globally. The job will entail dealing with all aspects of the service – cutting airway bills, bill of ladings, invoicing, dealing with airlines, Ocean carriers, hauliers, dealing directly and organising customer shipments and customs clearance.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
• Teamwork
• Assist other operational departments in daily tasks
• Dealing with customers via phone and email
• Co-ordinate movement of shipments from collection point to international destinations via third party transport providers
• Liaise with relevant partners for booking shipments
• Familiar with carrier rates & support negotiating of freight rates
• Invoice to customers in timely and efficient manner
• Plan & route LTL & Groupage trailers throughout the UK & Ireland. Domestic & Europe, inbound and outbound.
• Place bookings with shipping lines and monitor sailings
• Track and Trace
• Liaise with subcontractors to ensure speedy & accurate information flow.
• Ability to maintain priorities and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of customs documentation& procedures is essential. Ensuring compliance with Revenue & Customs regulations

Qualifications:
• 3+ years Air / Road / Sea freight experience (at least 2 modes preferable)
• LTL & Groupage
• Proficient in the use for Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• An excellent multi-modal freight and logistics understanding would be advantageous.
• Good organisation skills and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills & fluent English in both written & verbal
• Dangerous Goods Certified
• Experience in CargoWise & BH IFMS will be an advantage
