We are currently recruiting a Transport and Logistics Planner / Scheduler for our Client, an Irish Agri-based Company, for their Limerick site.  Working within a busy Transport Team the Planner / Scheduler will organise the day to day transport load planning, and develop a more efficient and cost effective logistics function.

Responsibilities will include:

Build close working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to develop a more efficient transport and logistics function.
Working with on-site cross functional teams to deliver transport and logistical improvements.
Planning and Scheduling finished Product outgoings to maximum efficiency, ensuring agreed service levels.
Scheduling and allocation of Drivers as required.
Develop and implement process improvements for a more streamlined transport and logistics function.
Liaise with Customers, ensuring that they receive up to date delivery information.
Use telesales to maximise vehicle pay loads.
Complete all documentation and administration to highest standards.
Provide support to the transport team during periods of annual leave.

Qualifications required:

A Third Level Qualification will be a distinct advantage
Experience in transport and logistics scheduling / planning is essential
An agricultural background would be beneficial

An excellent command of English (both written and verbal)
Strong communication skills
A methodical approach to  work
Must be comfortable and experienced with transport/logistics systems
Good PC Skills
Ability to work well with others and use a team approach
The ability to multi-task.
Exceptionally strong organisational and interpersonal skills
High motivation, flexibility, and the ability to work on own initiative
