Due to the demand in growth, our client based in Shannon requires a Warehouse Supervisor. The position of Warehouse Supervisor is a permanent contract reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, with a very strong emphasis on Inventory accuracy, compliance and documentation. The role involves the Supervision of a team of two warehouse operators in fulfilment of warehouse duties such as incoming goods receipt and inspection, goods storage, inventory control, provision of materials to production, preparation of goods for shipment, transport arrangement, shipment checks and loading deliveries. The role requires all activities to be conducted in compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and therefore quality and compliance are of paramount importance .

 

Duties:

  • The effective supervision of the warehouse and all associated activities.
  • The Motivation, and personnel issues of all members of the Warehouse team.
  • The implementation of Management strategies and plans.
  • Reporting to Management trends and Analysis of the warehouse data such as stock accuracy, turnover etc.
  • Inventory management, including daily and monthly cycle counting, preparation of inventory reports for management, analysis on materials consumption and identifying trends for improvement of materials management.
  • Ensuring all regulatory requirements are adhered to, e.g. temperature mapping / monitoring, compliance of service providers such as freight forwarders.
  • Promote and support business excellence leading by example. Developing partnerships internally with the various functions.
  • Goods receipt, storage, preservation and Handling and associated activities to ensure the effective, efficient and compliant handling of materials throughout the warehouse from incoming to outgoing.
  • All logistic associated activities required for the preparation of shipments throughout Europe and worldwide including Indonesia, USA, Korea, Turkey, preparation of Invoices, shipment documentation and all associated documents for customs compliance at home and abroad.
  • Preparation of dangerous goods consignments with associated documentation and labelling. Dangerous goods training will be provided if necessary.
  • Preparation of consignments and paperwork for shipment/drop shipment.
  • Safe storage of temperature sensitive and Hazardous products.
  • Liaison with carriers to determine economic freight rates and ensure safe and timely arrival of the consignment. Freight tendering and benchmarking as part of cost management.
  • Ensuring all house keeping records of the warehouse are completed and recorded correctly.
  • Ensuring quality requirements are maintained through out the process and in compliance with certified standards.
  • Maintaining warehouse procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations as well as regulatory compliance in all activities.
  • Ensuring the warehouse staff are fully trained and skilled in fulfilment of their roles.
  • Identifying processes requiring risk assessment and/or validation and assisting processing the same.
  • Assisting with process mapping and streamlining of warehouse processes.
  • Ensure product Identification and traceability.

 

Qualifications:

Work related experience in a supervisory position. Experience in warehousing and materials management essential. Experience in pharma industry desired.

Certificate or Diploma in warehousing or logistics is of preference.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information and ideas in a variety of media, tactful, confident at all levels, internal and external.

Excellent IT Skills – and knowledge of SAP would be a distinct advantage.
