We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Sander / Buffer to join our fabrication client based in Shannon, Co. Clare. This position is offered on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for a longer-term opportunity for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and finishing metal components to a high standard, ensuring all products meet the required quality specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sanding, grinding, polishing and buffing metal components.
- Removing sharp edges, weld marks and surface imperfections.
- Preparing finished products for painting, coating or final assembly.
- Operating hand tools and finishing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised work area.
- Following all health and safety procedures and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in sanding, grinding or metal finishing is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills within a fabrication environment.
