We have an excellent new opportunity for Warehouse/Inventory Operator with long established medical devices client based in Shannon, Co. Clare. Position will be offered as full time permanent role, with immediate start reporting to the Logistics & Warehouse Manager. The Warehouse/Inventory Operator will carry out their duties in a proper and efficient manner and use ones best endeavours to maintain, protect and promote the business interests, reputation and welfare of the company. This person will comply with the performance objectives agreed as adjusted from time to time.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Goods Receipt, Storage and Handling
  • Off-loading all incoming consignments and signing for same.
  • Physically checking and verifying all incoming deliveries.
  • Safely locating the released consignment within the warehouse or on the racking supplied.
  • Temperature maintenance through temperature monitoring system including call-outs if necessary.
  • Preparation of all labels (i.e. shipment etc)
  • Arranging insurance for high value product as per applicable insurance policies.
  • Preparation of month end stocks and periodic cycle counts
  • Kitting of Material for Diagnostic Packaging and preparation of associated paperwork.
  • Loading of all consignments for shipment.
  • Responsible for adhering to GDP & GMP requirements particular to your role.
  • Liaising with all other departments within the company to ensure performance objectives are maintained.
  • Reporting to Management trends and Analysis of the warehouse data such as stock accuracy etc.
  • Ensuring all regulatory requirements are adhered to, e.g. temperature monitoring.
  • Ensure product import or export processes are in compliance with customs regulatory or legal requirements.
  • Preparation of Consignments and paperwork for shipment/drop shipment.
  • Liaison with carriers to determine economic freight rates and ensure safe and timely arrival of consignments.
  • Planning routes and load scheduling for multi-drop deliveries.
  • Ensuring all Freight Forwarding partners in the supply chain are working effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth operations.
  • Arranging optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
  • Monitor transport costs and negotiate rates to achieve more competitive pricing.
  • Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
  • Assist management in the analysis of logistical problems and produce new solutions.
  • Assist management with carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation.
  • Assist management in resolving problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.
  • Dealing with all non-conforming product in the area.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Management, Transport, Engineering or related field is preferable.
  • Reach Forklift truck certified.
  • Excellent IT Skills and previous experience using ERP System, ideally SAP
