Our client has a new position for an experienced Analog IC Design Leader for its Diversified Analog Solutions business unit.  The successful candidate will lead the Analog Design team in Cork in the delivery of complex multichip RFIC-based wireless module solutions for 5G, IOT and WiFi applications.

The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of product realization and work with an extended cross-site team to validate and deliver high performance products to high volume markets.

You will be responsible for technical leadership in the analysis, design, and development of analog integrated circuits used in next generation products using BiCMOS, SOI and CMOS technologies.  Typical circuitry to be developed will include BJT and MOS biasing blocks, linear and logarithmic RF detectors, over-voltage/over current protection circuits, regulators, and a range of closed loop feedback circuits.  Some developments will also require basic skills in system level analysis.

To be successful in this role you should have demonstrated leadership in die development, tapeout, and product ownership.

Candidates will be able to show:

  • Strong knowledge of design flow and ESD best practices
  • Comprehensive simulation skills in Cadence including PEX, Monte Carlo, and Corner analysis
  • Detailed knowledge in standard analog cell design, including: bandgaps, op-amps, detectors, regulators, precision current sources, basic logic synthesis
  • Knowledge of best analog layout practices in Cadence Virtuoso
  • Exposure to commercial CMOS wafer fab technologies.

Additional knowledge and experience in the following would be a distinct advantage:

  • RF circuits including Power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, switches, PIN diodes, attenuators and variable gain amplifiers
  • Mixed signal and digital integration experience
  • SOI technology & design
  • III-V technology & design
  • Mixed Signal and digital integration experience
  • Exposure to 5G, WiFi, and IOT product requirements

The successful candidate will be interacting with Designers from multiple sites with occasional travel required.
