PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Provide technical application assistance to both internal and external sales personnel and end users as well as review application details on orders and inquiries.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide application, selection and troubleshooting assistance to distributors, end users, internal sales, and external sales personnel where a high degree of expertise is required.
  • Reviews all orders from a specified geographical area when application details are given or when there may be some question to the proper application of pumps in question.
  • Handles inquiries relating to application, technical questions, and troubleshooting for distributors and CSC team members from a specified geographical area.
  • Has primary responsibility for application and technical training of geographical CSC team members.
  • Technical liaison with Engineering.
  • Participate in direct sales and troubleshooting calls as required by field sales.
  • Prepare material and take a lead role in technical training programs. 
  • Assist in preparation of published technical documents such as Technical Service Manuals, and white paperscovering product and process descriptions
  • Assist in development and maintenance of a technical knowledge & mechanical databases as determined by the custoemr needs
  • Prepares certified test requests when specified on the order. Works with customer contact and lab to review test results.
  • Maintain CRM database and produce monthly reports from CRM
  • Monitor customer needs, changing market conditions, product deficiencies and market opportunities to make recommendations for new products.
  • The ability to prepare unit layout drawings to support quotation & manufacturing drawings to support Production.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or 4 year Industrial Technology - Degree.
  • Experience in a field relating to liquid handling desirable.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have excellent communications skills (both verbal and written).
  • Must have good organizational abilities.
  • Must work well in a team environment. Must maintain internal and external customer relationships.
  • Must possess good diagnostic/troubleshooting abilities
  • Must be self motivated.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks essential
