EM ENGINEER RF IC & MODULES

eFlexes currently have a very exciting opportunity for an EM Engineer RF IC & Module, with a new, innovative technology company based in Cork.  Our client company is an innovator of high performance analog semiconductors, whose solutions are powering the wireless networking revolution.

This is a fantastic position for a passionate EM Engineer, with previous design experience working with RF IC and Modules, to expand your design experience across all wireless ecosystems!

Your role:

As EM Engineer you will have primary responsibility for EM simulation in RF IC and Module product development.

To be successful in this role you will need candidates will need to demonstrate:

  • You will require a strong understanding in Electromagnetic theory
  • Strong understanding of RF/microwave fundamentals such as impedance matching, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, circuit stability
  • Strong circuit simulation skills utilizing Agilent ADS/, 2.5/3D EM tools such as Moment/EMX/Sonnet, HFSS/CST and Cadence, and the ability to translate between the model, simulation, physical implementation, and measured performance.
  • Solid understanding in module building blocks, including Power Amplifiers, Low Noise Amplifiers, RF Switches and Couplers, Filters and Multi-chip Module.
  • Strong lab skills in data collection/analysis, lab debug/tuning and product troubleshooting.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Minimum degree level in a relevant discipline
  • Good understanding of RF systems and familiarity with wireless standards including 5G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth
  • Solid understanding of device and process technologies
  • Experience in system architecture, circuit topology and MCM floorplan
  • Experience in FEM Product Development
