Our Shannon based Client, a well renowned precision engineering company, are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their growing team. 
 
Reporting to the Production Manager, the ideal candidate will be process driven and compliant to industry standards with excellent attention to detail.  And will suit a candidate capable of performing well under pressure, and is analytical and methodical in their approach to work.

Responsibilities of the role include:
 
  • Ensuring the overall quality of manufactured products
  • Processing containment, route cause analysis and creating robust corrective actions
  • Technical experience and knowledge of AS9100 is essential
  • Implement effective quality controls
  • Investigate customer complaints
  • Support manufacturing operations ensuring product conformance to print specification and monitoring production processes
  • Responsible for PPAP for new product introduction including developing control plans and PFMEA
  • Implement QMS process improvements from audit findings
  • Conduct EHS & QMS internal audits to support performance and improvements
  • Coordinate quality procedures, instruction, specification and standard to ensure conformance to AS9100
  • Improve product quality by making recommendations for change
  • Work together with relevant teams and departments to improve products.
 
 
Candidates will require:
 
  • Min Level 7 Degree in Engineering/Manufacturing
  • Masters in Engineering desired, but not essential
  • Extensive experience in a quality assurance environment required
  • High proficiency in computer technology and systems operations
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work efficiently in a team environment.
