Due to continued expansion our client based in Co. Clare has a new and exciting position available for a Senior Product Design Engineer to join their Engineering team.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Senior Product Design Engineer will manage the design and development of products supplied to a range of different industries.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with the Engineering team to drive new product development across a number of different sectors such as aviation and material handling
- Develop ideas from concept to prototype, testing and certification, to ensure they are at market standard
- Work with the Engineering team to drive continuous improvement of existing product lines
- Management and updating of controlled drawings of all company products
- Creation and management of company product documentation such as assembly, operating manuals, and 3D models
Candidates will require the following skills & qualifications:
- Relevant engineering degree/qualification
- Previous experience in product design is essential
- Proficient in Solidworks design software
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player with ability to work independently
- Fluent English both written and verbal
