We are currently looking for an experienced Office Administrator for a well-established and growing engineering company based in Shannon, Co. Clare.
The Office Administrator will play a critical role within the Company, reporting directly to the Managing Director. This position requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, both written and verbal, and will be responsible for overseeing various administrative tasks critical to the smooth functioning of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the business.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for non-core business matters, including ordering office supplies, and HR administration.
  • Provide an overview of Health & Safety protocols, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Attend weekly meetings to take notes and follow up on action items.
  • Handle incoming calls and inquiries, providing a professional and courteous response.
  • Maintain a register of visitors and ensure appropriate protocols are followed.
  • Assist the Managing Director with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
 
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience in office administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities in English.
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
