General Manager

We require a dynamic future focused individual with a technical and/or clinical background and broad management experience who can establish and achieve growth targets for our nationwide clinical service business.

The General Manager will direct, control and manage the operation, give strategic guidance and direction to the Board and to ensure that the Company achieves its goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • The creation, implementation, and management of a set of performance KPI's that drive business performance.
  • Create a culture of commitment among staff - Selection of Key Staff , Management of existing Staff, Staff Engagement, Loyalty, Quality of Work, Work Ethic, Customer Focus
  • Identify and implement opportunities through continuous process improvement projects, that allow for business growth & expansion whilst driving efficiencies in terms of business process operations
  • Create and drive a culture of safe & consistent working practice and excellence in clinical governance in all our customer, resident, patient & employee interactions
  • Manage and facilitate the companies tendering process for new business
  • Represent the Company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, and other key contacts to secure the most effective contract terms for the Company
  • Delivery of continued profit improvement through financial, resource and project controls.
  • Working with the Sales and Marketing team to maximise all potential business. Achieve sales and profit targets
  • Control of resources and their allocation to satisfy all ongoing work committed
  • Manage and coordinate all Clinical Managers, Business Development and Operational Teams
  • Oversee day-to-day running of the company.
  • Fully accountable for all aspects of clinical care delivery with a specific focus on:
    • Delivery of quality person centred care,
    • Leading and mentoring staff and
    • Building an open and transparent culture of continuous improvement.
    • Ensuring quality and regulatory compliance with all HSE/HIQA regulations and internal HealthcareDirect policies and standards.
  • Develop and implement both short and long term operational goals and strategies

Skills:

  • 10 years+ Managerial experience in the Health Care Sector
  • 5 + years in a senior managerial capacity
  • A passion for delivery of high quality Clinical services in the public and private sectors
  • Proven track record of leading high performing teams to achieve business goals.
  • Financially strong and ability to analyse business data ensuring accurate, relevant and appropriate decision making and development of robust action plans.
  • Possess excellent inter-personal skills with ability to motivate self and others
  • Ability to work well and promote a team environment.
  • Willingness to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the company.
  • Excellent IT skills to include Excel, Word and clinical operating systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive Process Improvement initiatives to improve efficiencies

 

Qualifications:

  • Primary Degree in Engineering or Finance
  • MBA an advantage
