Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Temporary Catering Assistant to join our client, a hospital in Kilkenny. The successful candidate will support the catering team in delivering high-quality food services to patients, staff, and visitors. This role requires flexibility, a positive attitude, and immediate availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals according to hospital standards
Ensure food hygiene and safety regulations are followed at all times
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
Support the catering team with stock rotation and inventory checks
Work efficiently across different tasks as required to meet service demands
Provide friendly and professional service to patients and staff
Requirements:
Previous experience in catering or food service is an advantage, but not essential
Must be available for afternoon shifts and flexible to work any day of a 7-day roster
Excellent communication and team-working skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of food hygiene practices is preferred
