Our Client, a well-established world leader in their field, are currently looking for a HR Generalist to join their team in Shannon, Co. Clare.
Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Generalist will be a key member of the organisations HR Team, and a central function within the company.

Responsibilities will include:
 
  • Employee Relations – dealing with employee requests and queries on a daily basis.
  • Recruitment and Selection
  • Responsibility for Employee Benefits Administration, such as; Pension, Medical Insurance, provision and ordering of safety wear.
  • Preparing monthly HR Reports for various departments.
  • Support in developing on boarding processes incl. ZUP Process
  • Introduce and integrate new staff members.
  • Set up new employees on various systems prior to start date and prepare for arrival on-site. 
  • Implementing and updating Company Policies and Company Handbook
  • Management of Personnel Files and training records
  • Management of on boarding and relocation of international employee’s incl. visa etc.
  • Provide advice and support to management team where applicable
  • Record and administrate working time incl. absence management 
  • Support in providing employee appraisals
  • Payroll Preparation in conjunction with Finance dept. 
  • Develop and manage public relations. Plan and manage events.
  • Maintenance of the company Intranet website. 
  • HR representative on the Company communications team
  • Ad hoc human resources duties and projects.
 
Candidates should have:
 
  • Degree in a business-related subject, preferably Human Resources related discipline. 
  • Ideally CIPD qualified
  • Excellent PC Skills – Word, Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Previous experience of maintaining a time and attendance system is a distinct advantage.  
  • Knowledgeable on current Irish employment legislation. 
  • Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Problem solving skills – ability to think outside the box to achieve the best solution
  • Work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Friendly and approachable and recognises the importance of confidentiality.  
  • Flexible attitude with an ability to multitask.
