Our Client, one of the fastest growing B2B SaaS companies in Europe and the U.S., has a new and exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer to join their talented and growing team.  The new Cyber Security Engineer can enjoy the option of hybrid working, in a fun and positive environment with a strong culture of openness and transparency.
 
Reporting directly to the CTO, the new Cyber Security Engineer will provide guidance and support to internal and external customers on all cyber security matters.
This position requires self-motivation to achieve whatever needs to be done in the best interest of the customer and the company, while adhering to our company values. The Cyber Security
Engineer will be the cyber “voice” within the organisation and will shape and drive all cyber related strategies into the future.
 
This is a key role with the following responsibilities and tasks, but this list is not exhaustive:
  • Monitor security information sources (e.g., security advisories) for impact.
  • Monitor application and system activity logs for potential threats.
  • Ensure that the organisation is compliant with the cyber security policies and processes
  • Conduct security team exercises.
  • Actively participate in the building of security during all development stages of software systems and infrastructure
  • Respond to security events, analyse, and escalate where appropriate.
  • Document and tune playbooks for security operations personnel.
  • Understand & comply with PCI, GDPR, HIPAA Security and Privacy Laws.
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
  • Degree in IT discipline is essential
  • Deep understanding of offensive and defensive security techniques.
  • Understanding and ability to convey cyber kill chain methodology and mitigation points.
  • Deep familiarity with SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace).
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence tools
  • Understand Azure, Microsoft Technologies, and RESTful web application technologies.
  • Able to work end-to-end from alerting to validation.
  • Detail-oriented and systematic
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • 5 years’ experience operating within a multi-disciplined product and services organisation
  • CCTHP; eCTHP; CTIA, ECIH Certification desirable
  • Understanding of ISO27001; SOC II; FedRAMP would be an advantage
