We have an excellent opportunity for Head of Operations (permanent full time role) with North West Ireland based client. This is a new role with the primary focus to ensure the successful delivery of its software solutions to its global clients. The person will be required to manage the portfolio of projects within the delivery unit. They will also be required to develop and build the function within the organisation as it experiences a growth surge globally.This role is part of the SMT team, reports to the CEO, and will be expected to influence the strategic nature of the organisation as well as deliver operationally.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analysis, design and implementation of core service management processes.
• Identify and drive process improvements, project profitability and commercial awareness across the function
• Travel if/when required to help deliver to offshore clients – typically 2-3 day trips
• Work with partner organisations to ensure a high standard of delivery occurs through those partners. Build and develop relationships with those partners.
• Align the strategic direction of Operations function with the rest of the organisation
• Management and development of the team around all aspects of their roles. Continuous improvement is critical to this role
• Good stakeholder relationship and management required
• Review all implemented SLA's to ensure that objectives have been met
• Liaise with other SMT members during our growth, ensuring the quality of delivery to our clients is maintained at a high standard
• Generates timelines and estimates development and implementation effort in €’s, and ensures projects meet and exceed the needs of the client organisation.
• Oversees the day to day operations of a team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technology Consultants, and Implementation Specialists who interface with the client organisation.
• Ensures that the team is focused on customer success
• Prioritizes, directs, and allocates team resources for business efficiency
• Manages the PMO function
• Manages the budgets, policies and procedures to support the Client. Ensures the Delivery targets are managed and achieved. Liaises closely with the Client Engagement team on client management.
• Manages a team within a broader Client focused function. Focus is on client satisfaction and pro-active client relationships.
• Ensures that the team’s processes are integrated with the rest of the organisation to deliver the most efficient service.
• Works with the Product Owner to bring the team’s knowledge to the product roadmap and help to ensure that product development priorities align with the customer’s needs.
• Is able to develop a commercial opportunity with or without Sales Team assistance. Is commercially astute, be able to develop account management opportunities (with or without sales support) and ensures that projects are profitable.

Location:
Position is based in North West of Ireland – there would be some flexibility to work remotely.

Skills Required: 

• Delivery Management - Agile / PMBOK / Prince 2 Environments
• ITIL / PMP qualification or equivalent
• Financial qualification an advantage, but not necessary
• MBA an advantage but not necessary
• Team Management - Management and hiring of software delivery teams
• Proficient in project management, particularly in understanding the project life cycle and project planning.
• PMO setup, control and management
• Location Management- Hands on management of multiple teams both on/off shore (currently IRL, UK and US and growing)
