PLANT OPERATIONS MANAGER

eFlexes are delighted to be assisting a highly valued client with the recruitment of a Plant OPERATIONS Manager.  This pharmaceutical multinational, based in Shannon, Co. Clare, offers an outstanding working environment with world class facilities and expertise.  The Production Plant Manager will be responsible for the Management of production operations; ensuring all production targets are met, products are manufactured on-time-in-full (OTIF), and in accordance with Safety, Quality and Environmental regulations and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must hold at least a Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering

EXPERIENCE:

5+ years’ experience working in a GMP / regulated environment (ideally in the pharmaceutical / API industry).
API pharma processes, equipment, systems etc. experience is essential.
New Product/Process Introduction (NPI) experience would be an advantage.
Experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, lean, six-sigma certified, project management, change management would be an advantage.
3+ years operating at Management level or at least 5 years at supervisory level with demonstrated management potential.
Hands-on experience of regulatory inspections, and audits.
Experience working in a unionised environment and dealing with industrial relations matters.

KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of Pharmachem/API industry
Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements (Safety, Quality, Environmental)
Chemistry and technical knowledge of production processes and operations
Employment regulations/laws, HR and industrial relations practices.
