Are you a qualified Manufacturing Engineer interested in working with the latest products in the energy industry?

If so, our industry-leading multinational client based in Shannon, Co. Clare, have an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer within their talented Manufacturing team.

As Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and improvement of processes critical to measurement instrumentation manufacture. In addition, the Manufacturing Engineer will support ongoing manufacturing operations and new product introductions in both standard and special product offering.

This is a site-based role, offering excellent opportunities for development coupled with a very attractive compensation and benefits package.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring safety in manufacturing processes through application of safety fundamentals.
  • Prioritising and respond to Andon production line stoppages, pareto and proactively apply improvements for rolling top 5 issues via A3 methodology.
  • Dispositioning Material Non-conformance Requests (NCR) and conduct root cause analysis as required to gain failure insights.
  • Owning, defining and executing NPI for manufacturing function ensuring successful new product introductions with acceptable yield and manufacturability.
  • Owning and ensuring accurate standard times for production routing through optimal method development / enhancement and standardisation through continuous operating procedure iteration.
  • Maintaining plant BOMs, routers, assembly procedures, test procedures, specifications, PFMEA and current standards for products released to manufacturing.
  • Maintaining factory acceptance testing (FAT) capability matrix and supporting manufacturing inspection procedures.
  • Devising and initiating cost reduction projects with supply chain leaders and sourcing department on a continuing basis for variable cost productivity opportunity.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics, or a related field of Manufacturing or Engineering, coupled with relevant experience.
  • Have the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Be excellent in interpersonal communication, facilitation & influence, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have process development and improvement experience.
  • Be a change agent with energy, passion, and enthusiasm to drive change.
  • Demonstrate measurement instrumentation experience - construction, design, usage.
  • Have the ability to design simple tooling using AutoCAD or Solid works.
  • Be able to multi-task and handle tasks with competing priorities effectively while applying exceptional analytical, problem solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
