We currently have an excellent opportunity with Shannon, Co. Clare based multinational client for a Quality Engineer to join their team.    Position will report to the Operations Manager and will be offered on 12 month maternity contract.    Quality Engineer is responsible to plan and carry out activities related to the maintenance and development of the company’s Integrated Management System (ISO 9001,14001 and 45001).  Work with product manager, engineers, and production to develop current and future product QC techniques & methodologies thereby enabling the company to provide consistent high-quality products for current customers and future product pipelines. Maintain and contribute to the environmental and H&S requirements to enable a safe and environmentally responsible operations.   

Report to the board on a quarterly basis on status/progress of quality and to raise any consistent issues.  Work closely with the Global Quality team to unify and align processes were possible

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Maintain and update the IM policies and procedures to reflect and support the growth and development of the IMS
  • Evaluate through internal auditing the adequacy of company’s Integrated Management System of Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Evaluate audit findings and implement effective CAPA system
  • Periodically review and edit current quality assurance procedures and develop new IM related procedures and work instructions where needs are identified.
  • Plan and monitor the calibration of all equipment ensuring a readily auditable record system is maintained.
  • Maintain a sampling plan to ensure that day to day Quality Control checks are performed in accordance with the company’s quality objectives detailed in the Quality Policy and that soft copy QC records are maintained,
  • Support the development and training of new starters, ensuring established quality standards are maintained.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills:

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in similar quality role.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills..
  • Excellent spoken and written English.

Auditor training/qualification an advantage.
