Program Manager

Due to our Client’s continued and rapid expansion, we are currently recruiting a Program Manager to join their Medical Device contract assembly division in Shannon, Co Clare.  If you are a self-starter, and keen to manage complex new customer onboarding programs and other operations projects, then this could be the role for you!

As Program Manager, you will lead cross functional teams from around the world to scale new customer programs and deliver exceptional and unique customer experiences. The Program Manager will monitor and drive business critical projects from project planning through to launch, including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending. Your primary objective will be to deliver projects on schedule, within project budget, meeting all technical, regulatory and operational requirements, reporting progress to all levels of management, and within product Cost of Goods targets. Primary responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage new customer program objectives, work assignments and schedules to deliver program projects on-time and within budget/scope
  • Maintain program project schedules by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, resolving issues, and proactively managing risks/opportunities
  • Manage cross-functional project teams to achieve project objectives
  • Manage service partners, vendors, and other parties on each project
  • Conduct meetings within and across business sites and functions to ensure alignment on specific requirements to create cohesive business solutions
  • Delegate project tasks to team members to leverage individual strengths, skill sets and experiences as well as to provide and encourage growth opportunities
  • Monitor progress, develop project status reports and present to management
  • Monitor and manage project risks and mitigation plans
  • Ensure team members follow all Quality System procedures (ISO13485) related to their jobs which can affect the quality of products or services provided to our customers and that changes to procedures are reviewed, approved and validated prior to implementation

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar academic qualification in Project Management, Supply Chain, or related discipline
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in Medical Device Manufacturing, Assembly or Supply Chain operations with experience in Project Management
  • A keen understanding of supply chain agreements for suppliers, external vendors, and consultants within operations in the medical device arena would be an advantage
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent negotiating and influencing skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Project, Visio, Excel, etc.)
  • Highly proficient in Excel, with Power BI or similar analytical tools, a distinct advantage
